Athlete's Foot
Athlete’s foot (tinea pedis) is a common fungal infection of the skin on the feet. It is most often caused by a group of fungi called dermatophytes.
What does athlete’s foot look like?
Athlete’s foot can cause:
-
White or softened skin between the toes
-
Scaling or peeling skin
-
Small blisters
-
Dry or cracked skin on the soles and sides of the feet
-
Itching or irritation
-
Symptoms can vary from person to person. Other skin conditions can cause similar symptoms, so it is important to have your feet assessed by a healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis.
